How to install and play Fall Guys on Mac

Hey folks! Fall Guys has finally arrived on iPhones in the EU and Android phones worldwide. I’ve always wanted to play Fall Guys, but I never had a compatible device (Windows or console) that was good enough for gaming. Fortunately, I’ve discovered a way to run the game on my Mac using a workaround thanks to its launch on iOS. We’re going to port the iOS game to Mac so we can play it natively, without any emulation.

You can watch a video version of this tutorial on my YouTube channel, or read this blog post for all the instructions.

Step 1: Install PlayCover

PlayCover is a tool that allows you to install iOS apps on your Apple Silicon Mac. Unfortunately, you cannot do this on an Intel Mac; you need a Mac with an M-series chipset. To install PlayCover, visit their website and select the latest version.

Open the Playcover.dmg file and move it to the Applications folder for the time being.

Step 2

Next, download the PlayCover .ipa file. Since the app was launched in the EU, people have decrypted its ipa file, allowing us to install it on devices outside the EU, including our Macs. Head over to decrypt.day and download the .ipa file for Fall Guys.

Download any of these links, but be aware that some may not work due to high demand.

Step 3: Drag the .ipa file to PlayCover.

Move the .ipa file to PlayCover, and it should take a few minutes to install.

Step 4: Open Fall Guys and log in to your Epic Games Account.

Step 5: Enable Keyboard Controls

To enable keyboard control, press and hold Command and Comma simultaneously to open the Fall Guys Settings. Next, navigate to Game Control and enable Controller Emulation.

That’s it! Join a game and begin playing!

You can play across devices, so your friends on PC, Console, or Android can also join you in the game!

That’s all for this shorter-than-usual blog post. I had another post planned for today, but I wanted to get this out first, so I’ll post it now. I’ll see you next week with a more technical topic, until then enjoy playing!
